Pronto - All is Golden + extras...

Pronto is a side project from Wilco keyboard player/sonic madman Mikael Jorgensen. From Wikipedia:

"...Jorgensen, an ex-Chicago-based engineer and now full time musician initially came aboard to perform real-time sound manipulations on the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot tour, sitting just off stage left, triggering the samples and sonic flourishes required to bring the YHF material to life. As the tour rolled on, Jorgensen gradually moved onto the stage itself, manning his laptop as well as taking on more and more keyboard duties..."

"...All Is Golden is a 70’s-inspired tome that serves as a record of action. It is the sound of waking up and moving on, cross-country trips to California, black days and blue nights giving way to better times and warmer promises. It’s AM-Radio songsmith filtered through the speakers of a modern-day prism.

Pronto now consists of Mikael Jorgensen, Greg O’Keeffe, Erik Paparazzi (Cat Power), and Tunde Oyewole (Childballads)..."

This is a great summertime record, bright and upbeat with hints of melancholy...and Wilco tones slip in, too. Nowhere more so than on the closing track, "I Think So" and the web-only bonus track (included here), "Buy Your Blues".
