Nour - Papier Mullat

I can't remember for the life of me why I downloaded this record from emusic but I did a while back...there really is not a ton of information around about this album but it is basically some Middle Eastern club/dance-style music.

Is it vaguely Algerian? Sort of Modern Raï? The lyrics are in French, which is one clue that this might be the case...oh, there is a weird nu metal angle, too, about half-way through...
